I was never created to be isolated
Never once was that a thought in the Creator’s mind
I was made in an image
An image of perfect community
I was created as a perfect companion to complete a most perfect creation
I was filled with life to commune with life itself
And even after perfection was broken
Community remained
Not then, at the foundation of time
Not now, at this time
Will communion and community be torn
We are all knit together and together we’ll remain

I enjoy being outdoors and spending time with my people. My writing occurs in the in between moments of life in an effort to embrace vulnerability and capture glimpses of beauty.

Writing and reading verse has been a way for me to process thoughts and emotions. It gives me a feeling of connection to myself and others as well as with my Creator. That is where my piece titled Community came from.

I started writing for myself and my own healing. It has always occurred in the in between moments rather than dedicated time. Covid allowed for more slow time to sit with thoughts and feelings. Time and space to express my heart. It was so neat writing this piece knowing the whole world was sitting with me. All of us understanding isolation while also knowing a new feeling of togetherness.

Beautiful truth! Our Creator,God, surely did make us for fellowship. First with Himself and also with others He brings into our lives!
